About this umbrella
Alongside its youth programmes, Resilience Academy equips experts, university staff and government officials to use climate-risk data — and to teach RA-style skills themselves. This pathway covers the Executive Course: short briefings on what the Climate Risk Database is, how to access it, and how to use it for resilience decisions, aimed at officials and funders.
It is also home to the MCL (Multi-Competence Learning) train-the-trainer ladder — self-study, a train-the-trainer webinar, a three-to-four-day on-site intensive and ongoing peer mentoring — and to government and institutional workshops, for example the 51 officials trained across Mwanza and Tanga in the 2025 GIZ programme.
