Self-paced geospatial and climate-resilience courses

About this umbrella

Resilience Academy's e-learning gives young people open, self-paced courses in geospatial data and urban-resilience skills, taught on real Climate Risk Database data. The backbone is the eight Learning Modules across four themes — Open Data for Resilience, Flood Resilience in a Changing Climate, Community Mapping, and Earth Observation — each around 55–60 hours, alongside hands-on QGIS and GIS training.

Resilience Academy does not award its own degree; courses are designed to be embedded for credit through partner universities (Ardhi, Dar es Salaam, Sokoine, Zanzibar and the University of Turku). The open catalogue keeps growing on Digicampus and DIDAIhub — now 25+ courses, from QGIS and PostGIS to satellite image classification and citizen-science data quality.
